                         Moblin項目委員會(huì )宣布了Moblin 2.1正式版的完成，雖然Intel表示Moblin 2.1只是在9月底發(fā)布的Moblin2.0版本的升級版本，不過(guò)除了修復了一些Bug問(wèn)題外Moblin2.1新增了大量的功能，包括新增了對3G的支持，另外網(wǎng)頁(yè)瀏覽速度在支持插件的情況下也有了很大提升，支持藍牙設備、更高的屏幕分辨率等。
                9月份時(shí)Intel曾表示Moblin 2.1還將推出手機版本，面向基于A(yíng)tom處理器的手機平臺，然而并沒(méi)有提供手機版Moblin2.1的開(kāi)發(fā)日程，但是透露Moblin 2.1正式版將在2010年下半年完成。有消息稱(chēng)Moblin2.1并不只是兩個(gè)版本，除了手機版，當前版本還會(huì )分裂為上網(wǎng)本和Nettop兩個(gè)版本。
不過(guò)目前這種分裂還沒(méi)有出現，Moblin 2.1中首次明確加入了對Nettop的支持，Moblin項目委員會(huì )表示此次發(fā)布的新版本可支持多種類(lèi)型的Nettop。下面來(lái)看一下Moblin 2.1的主要改進(jìn)：
瀏覽器：Moblin 2.1采用了新的瀏覽器軟件，除了提升了之前的瀏覽器性能還新增了對插件的支持。
3G數據支持：采用了愛(ài)立信的MBM 3G調制解調器，支持3G數據連接。
集成了應用程序安裝器：新增了Moblin應用程序安裝器，提供了Moblin Garage中的應用程序列表，用戶(hù)可以直接選擇并安裝。
Clutter 1.0：采用了Clutter動(dòng)畫(huà)用戶(hù)界面架構。
支持藍牙設備：Moblin 2.1的工具欄中新增了一個(gè)面板，支持藍牙設備的搜索和匹配，包括藍牙音頻設備、輸入設備（鍵盤(pán)、鼠標）、OBEX文件傳輸以及在3G模式下的藍牙手機。
連接管理器（ConnMan）：在性能和穩定性方面進(jìn)行了大幅改進(jìn)，新版ConnMan可以支持以太網(wǎng)、WiFi、WiMAX和3G。
支持Nettop：為形形色色的Nettop提供了用戶(hù)界面縮放功能，Nettop用戶(hù)可以根據屏幕分辨率調整用戶(hù)界面。
IM即時(shí)通信客戶(hù)端：改進(jìn)了即時(shí)通信客戶(hù)端的賬戶(hù)設置，并將其整合到ConnMan中，支持在本地網(wǎng)絡(luò )與好友的透明連接。
輸入法：輸入法可適用于整個(gè)系統。
本地化：Moblin現在支持英語(yǔ)、巴西葡萄牙語(yǔ)、西班牙語(yǔ)、法語(yǔ)、德語(yǔ)、瑞典語(yǔ)、芬蘭語(yǔ)、漢語(yǔ)、日語(yǔ)和簡(jiǎn)體中文、繁體中文。
此外，Moblin 2.1對很多關(guān)鍵技術(shù)組件的版本進(jìn)行了升級，包括Linux內核版本升級為2.6.31、Intel Linux顯卡驅動(dòng)2.9、X Server 1.6.4和Mesa 7.6。

MoblinCore is the heart of the Moblin software platform. It provides afeature rich common base shared among form factor-specific platformimplementations, such as netbooks, MIDs, and automotive. Moblin Coreconsists of platform libraries and application services providing richfunctional platform building blocks. It does not provide applicationuser interfaces or specific user interaction shells. Such functionalityis provided by a platform-specific implementation, produced by Moblinor a third party.
Moblin Core is built on the GNOME Mobile
platform, extending and enriching it with Intel open source technologies like Clutter
, GUPnP
, and Atom specific technologies, such as graphics, fast boot, and power saving.

Moblin Core will follow the GNOME Mobile 6 month release cycle(starting with 2.26 in 2009) staying in sync, retaining compatibilityand contributing improvements back to the GNOME Mobile and Desktopplatforms. Moblin Core itself is expected to grow and mature as actualplatform implementations are created, starting with Moblin NetBook.
